  • February 17, 2005: The Compay Segundo House hosted the launching of a new line of Guayabera Vegas Robaina by Habanos S.A. (free of charge, valued at 2,000 Cuban convertible pesos (CUCs).
  • May 4, 2005: Concert at Hotel Nacional de Cuba, to celebrate Pío Leiva’s birthday. (free of charge, valued at 2,500 CUCs) 
  • May 21, 2005: Cubadisco Awards Ceremony at the Karl Marx Theater (free of charge, valued at 2,000 CUCs) 
  • May 26, 2005:  The group was invited to the premier of the documentary Cuba la canta a Serrat, at the New Latin American Cinema Foundation.  (free of charge) 
  • June 16, 2005:  Concert at the residence of the Belgian Ambassador (free of charge, valued at 2,500 CUCs) 
  •  September 29, 2005:  Concert at the reception given at the Chinese Embassy (free of charge, valued at 2,500 CUCs) 
  • October 4, 2005: Gala performance celebrating the anniversary of the Granma newspaper, Astral Theater (free of charge, valued at 2,000 CUCs) 
  • October 6, 2005:  Closing ceremony of the International Congress of Auditors, at the Laguito (The amount received for their performance, 20,000 Cuban pesos, was donated to the Ignacio Piñeiro Provincial Center of Music.)
  • November 6, 2005:  Concert at the opening session of the meeting of the country’s Symphony Orchestras, at the camping site Las Cuevas (free of charge, valued at 2,000 CUCs).
  • Recording of a song for the CD Montana Mía  at the request of the Cuban Institute of Music
  • Recording of a promotional video for Petrocaribe at the request of the Council of State
  • Donation made to the Cuban Institute of Music for a total of US$ 15,549.60 as a result of an agreement signed on November 2002 between Habanos S.A. and Francisco Repilado (Compay Segundo), whereby at the artist’s request, Habanos promised to donate 20% of the total amount of money made from the sale of 95 Montecristo Humidors sold by Habanos S.A. on occasion of Compay Segundo’s 95th birthday.  
  • During this year, 300 CUCs were donated for the Nueva Voz contest sponsored by UNEAC and the activity in honor of all the participants. 
  • Donation of a mural by the Compay Segundo House and by the Experimental Graphic Arts Workshop where, in honor of Compay Segundo, over 20 Cuban visual artists, together with the Compay House, donated this mural to decorate the Pediatrics wing of Havana’s Oncological Hospital.  That same day a party was given to the children, who received toys, to celebrate the donation of this invaluable artwork to the hospital. 
  • As part of the creation in 2006 of the Compay Segundo100 Years Project, over 25 artworks by Cuban visual artists were made to pay tribute to this outstanding figure of Cuban music. 
  • All the money raised from the sale of these artworks will be donated to the nine institutions in Cuba where children with cancer receive medical care.The works were exhibited three times in 2007, and the money raised with the sale of some of them, 3,950 CUCs, was donated to the fight against cancer.  Visit our gallery to see the works for sale
  • Donation to the Bawon Samdi traditional folkloric group from Haiti for their participation in the Caribbean Festival in Santiago de Cuba, valued at 250 CUCs. 
  • Collaboration with the Ignacio Piñeiro Provincial Music Centre consisting in the use of a photocopier to help in the paper work for the departure of the groups forming part of said entity. 
  •  Donation to victims of hurricanes Gustav and Ike, in the town of Artemisa. 
  • Donation to the Cuban Institute of Music amounting to 3,000 CUC to help the provinces hit by hurricanes Gustav and Ike. 
  • Through the contacts of the Compay Segundo House with the Lyrical Club of the Italian city of Treviso, the members of said club visited our country in October bringing medicine, toiletries and clothes for the hurricane victims, which were given to the towns and settlements hardest hit.
  • They also donated to the Cuban Institute of Music the sum of 1,500 US dollars and 650 Euros to help our country recover from the devastating effects of these storms.
  • Donation of 200 CUCs to the National Trade Union of Culture to be used in the fight against cancer.
  • Medicine, toiletries and clothes were donated to the Zun Zun daycare center and the América Arias Gineco-Obstretics Hospital.
  • Donation of 8,000 Cuban pesos to the Confederation of Cuban Workers (CTC) on occasion of the Day of the Homeland.
  • Donation of 300 CUCs to the National Trade Union of Culture to be used in the fight against cancer.
  • Donation to the Institute of Music in the form of a check corresponding to the sale of the humidors on occasion of the 100th anniversary of the birth of Compay Segundo amounting to 18,339.36 CUCs.
  • Donation of 6,000 Cuban pesos to the CTC on occasion of the Day of the Homeland.
  • Donation of 300 CUCs to the National Trade Union of Culture to be used in the fight against cancer.
